Information we do not collect
The app does not request or collect personal information such as your name, email address, or contacts.
It does not include usage analytics, advertising identifiers, automatic diagnostic reporting, or behavioral tracking.
The official website uses no analytics scripts or tracking cookies.
How selected files are processed
Images, folders, and archives are processed on your Mac after you select them explicitly or ask Finder to open them.
AuroraViewer does not upload selected file contents to a Mirinae Labs server.
When the app invokes system features such as macOS ImageIO, Quick Look, Finder, or a default editor, those features and Apple's policies may apply.
Data stored on your Mac
App settings, shortcuts, ratings, Pick/Reject status, session information, and recent working context may remain in local storage.
The app may store security-scoped bookmarks for files and folders you approved so sandbox access can be restored.
Thumbnail, preview, and extracted-file caches may be created for display performance and archive handling. Clearing a cache does not delete original files.
File changes you request
Finder tags, supported EXIF-field edits, rename, move, copy, Move to Trash, and export change a target or result file only when you invoke the command.
Ratings and Pick/Reject status are local app data and are not automatically written into the original image bytes.
Files extracted from a password-protected archive are removed on exit. General caches may be cleared according to settings and app behavior.
External links and support
External sites such as the Mac App Store and GitHub support are governed by their own privacy policies.
GitHub Issues is public. Do not include personal information or files that should not be public in a support request.
